Services Offered
Who do you work with?
I provide therapy to women18 years of age & older. I welcome LGBTQ+ & neurodivergent folks.
What can you help me with?
I specialize in providing treatment to women who are experiencing challenges related to ADHD, anxiety and panic.
Are you meeting with folks in-person?
I provide therapy in-person in Iowa City, IA & online (telehealth) for clients in the states of Iowa & Washington.
I use a HIPAA-compliant website to ensure our appointments are private & confidential.
Can you help me with trauma?
The therapy I provide is “trauma-informed” meaning I recognize that many of us have experienced traumatic events in our lifetimes. I aim to offer safety, choice, collaboration, trustworthiness and empowerment in our appointments. I specialize in providing EMDR although I am trained in many other evidence-based interventions. EMDR is an evidence-based practice that is recommended by the Veterans' Administration for the treatment of PTSD.
What can you not help me with?
You deserve the best quality of care, and to work with someone who has the training and structural capacity to appropriately address your needs. In the light of this, I don't provide the following services at this time:
- Children under 18 years of age, couples and families
- Suicidal or homicidal ideation
- Self-harming behaviors (e.g., cutting, burning)
- Eating disorders as the primary focus of therapy
- Domestic violence and/or family disputes
- Expert witness testimony for court cases including child custody disputes
- Evaluations for concerns such as employment, Worker Compensation Claims or L&I, or academic accommodations
If any of these issues should come up in my work with you I will do my best to refer you to another provider that can either collaborate with us as a team or become your primary therapist. Please feel free to contact me with any questions about this information.
Fees & Insurance
Appointments: Initial and follow-up sessions are scheduled for 60 minutes. I accept insurance and HSA/credit/debit cards.
Fees: $200 for a 60 minute session with a discount to $150 for clients paying via HSA/credit/debit card at the time of the appointment.
Insurance:
In the state of Iowa, I am in-network with Wellmark insurance.
In the state of Washington, I am in-network with First Choice Health & Kaiser.
Please contact your insurance company to verify your insurance benefits for therapy.
Out of Network Insurance: If I am not able to provide in-network services through your insurance company, I can provide you with a detailed receipt which you may be able to submit to your insurance company. Please contact your insurance company to verify your insurance benefits for out of network (OON) therapy.
Estimate: You have the right to a Good Faith Estimate.
Location: Both Iowa & Washington State law requires that the client be located in state at the time of the appointment. If you are traveling out of state, please contact me to reschedule your appointment.
Free Telephone Consultation
Your comfort & ease are an important part of therapy. A free 15 minute consultation is provided so that we can discuss your needs & wants for therapy. This also allows us to clarify scheduling, insurance & expectations about the therapeutic relationship. I look forward to speaking with you!
